MYB NFL PLAYOFF

-TAKE NEW ORLEANS -10

BBVA COMPASS BOWL

KENTUCKY vs PITT(-4) The coach less Panthers are coming off a disappointing season and will try to win one for Dave Wannstedt. They have a powerful running attack and will try to exploit the less than stellar Kentucky run defense. The Wildcats have a pretty solid run game themselves averaging over 160 yards per game and QB Mike Hartline has thrown for over 3100 yards and 23TD's. Add all purpose WR Randall Cobb's 2200 all purpose yards to the mix and you have the capability of an explosive offense. If the Cats can contain the Pitt running game this one should be close.

-TAKE KENTUCKY +4

COTTON BOWL

TEXAS AM vs LSU(-3) CJ is a little under the weather so an abbreviated post. We will go with the hot club here, Aggies are rolling and should be focused.

-TAKE TEXAS AM +3

GODADDY.COM BOWL

MIAMI,OH vs MTSU(-2.5)Ugh! Tough to Jazz this one up. The best thing about this one will be the commercials with the Go Daddy models. Personally, MTSU and QB Dwight Dasher have not been close to as good as billed. It took 3 late wins, one against Western Kentucky where they needed a 97 yd kick return and 99 yd fumble recovery plus a missed WKU extra point! Meanwhile, the Red Hawks won their last 5 including the conference championship against an extremely good Northern Illinois team.

TAKE MIAMI +2.5

SUGAR BOWL

ARKANSAS vs OHIO ST.(-3) Today's math lesson: OSU+SEC=9(losses). I will stick with the trend and get 3 points of insurance as well.

-TAKE ARKANSAS +3

ORANGE BOWL

Virginia Tech vs Stanford(-3) Good game here. Could be a battle of QB's when Tyrod Taylor takes on Stanford's Andrew Luck. The Hokies have had occassion to let down or start very slowly. If they don't get out of the gates tonight it could be an uphill battle for Tech.

-TAKE STANFORD -3

NEW YEARS DAY BOWLS

Here is your slate for the rest of the day:

-FLORIDA -6.5
-MICH ST +8
-MISS ST -3
-WISC +3
-UCONN +15

TICKETCITY BOWL

NORTHWESTERN vs TEXAS TECH(-7.5) The Wildcats will miss All Big Ten QB Persa today as they did in the final two games of the year, both lopsided losses. There is always a fear the Cats will be pesky but I don't think they will have enough against Potts and the Red Raiders.

-TAKE TEXAS TECH -7.5
